With the Atavist design, TED Books will be able to incorporate various multimedia features throughout their written stories.

Seth Godin, the founder of The Domino Project, shared this funny the TED2012 talk today by Chip Kidd, a graphic designer for Alfred A. Knopf publishing house since 1986. Kidd designed the book cover for Jurassic Park, and for the essayist David Sedaris. The TED site states:
“Chip Kidd’s book jacket designs spawned a revolution in the art of American book packaging.”
It added that Chip:
“Doesn’t judge books by their cover, he creates covers that embody the book — and he does it with a wicked sense of humor.”
