I’d like to use the SoundCloud fellowship to do a spectacular roll out for Season Two of Random Tape. During those two months I would create a series of special episodes that would involve tape that listeners would submit through SoundCloud. I want to play a game of telephone around the globe using SoundCloud. I would start with a recorded phrase then post it on SoundCloud for people to translate record and then post again to translate and record, etc. I want to have a “Random Skype Day” where I pull people’s Skype handles out of a hat and have them call each other.
I’ve been thinking about Antipodes lately, points on the earth’s surface that are diametrically opposed and I want to do an episode where people from opposite ends of the globe talk to each other. I have some other ideas too but they’re too dangerous to send through the internet unencrypted.
