I’ve been wrong before, but have we evolved to a point where we can ethically load up our content management systems, voice our opinions without objectively substantiating them, and then call ourselves journalists and reporters? I know bloggers that hold themselves to higher standards without representing themselves as news publications and mainstream media outlets. Yet how does a website like, TheVerge.com allow its reporters to defame people without any evidence to prove their claims and call themselves a news publication who offers “in-depth reporting?
